How to add lyrics to iPod
5 November 2006If you have iPod nano or Fifth Generation iPod and if you like to sing along with your tunes, you can display song lyrics right on the screen of a supported iPod.
Ok you can add your lyrics to iPod with iTunes, but if you want to add lyrics for 1000 songs, it can be very frustrating and slow.
Entering lyrics with iTunes
- In iTunes 5 or later, select a favorite song.
- From the File menu, choose Get Info.
- Click Lyrics, then enter the words to the song in the text box.
- Click OK when finished.
- Copy the song to iPod.
Solution
You can use software called Podlyrics, but from my experience it’s always out of service, so you have to look another way.
You probably don’t know Evillyrics.
It’s nice piece of software specially for working with lyrics. It works with Winamp, but more importantly with iTunes.
Just install it, go to Preferences > Advanced and there you find Add lyrics tags to iTunes. There you go. Tick it.
And behind listening to your favourite music throught iTunes, Evillyrics will write lyrics in id3tags of your stuff. Very nice.
