How to write music lyrics
Category: how-to
It may seem simple. But be careful. It???s not only about putting down what you feel, think also about *music*. I know what I???m saying. You may write super cool lyrics, but if they won???t fit music, you can start from beginning.
*This is how I write ( when I write
)*
First imagine some *melody*, doesn???t have to be complicated, only few tones. ( It???s quiet hard for me, that???s why this is first thing I do. I???m able to write lyrics for a song in few minutes, but what then?
It???s just a poem without music!!! )
Somehow write it down, using whatever, just don???t forget about melody… You may record it on tape by doing “mmm - hmmm - *lalalala*” and so on…
Now it???s time to write lyrics, they should *rhyme*, they should fit your melody. If they don???t try to change them a bit. If you can???t you have nice *poem*, or you can try to “lalala” some fitting melody. ( For me impossible, that???s why I have about 25 poems… maybe I should be a poem writer! YEAH! )
And it???s done! If it???s really good, and if you have some talented friends you should ask them to *transform* your “lalala” music to normal instrumental song for you, guitar is sometimes enough.
And now it???s time to present super *cool song* to your friends ( if you have enough courage )
Maybe it won???t be prefect, but it???ll be yours.
