*Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)* (commonly known simply as Power Out) is the third single by Canadian rock band “Arcade Fire”:artist/arcade-fire from their debut album Funeral.
Released on 23 May 2005, the single reached #26 on the UK Singles Chart, and was released on the Rough Trade Records record label.
The music video depicts in animation several youths wearing hooded jackets cutting the power lines to a snowy 1920s-steam punk city, while several old men chase them.
The song was reportedly inspired in part by the Ice Storm of 1998, which left parts of Quebec (where the band lives) without electricity for almost a month.
